High Alumina Brick

High alumina brick is a kind of refractory material, one of the main composition of the refractory brick is AL2O3. The Al2O3 content is higher than 48% of the silicate aluminum refractory products.

It is formed by alumina or other higher raw material forming and calcined alumina content. Thermal stability, high refractoriness is more than 1770 ℃. It has good slag resistance and used for building steel-making furnace, glass furnace, and cement rotary kiln lining.


Features
a.refractoriness
The refractoriness of high alumina brick is higher than clay bricks and half silica brick , it can reach to 1750 ~ 1750 ℃, so it belongs to high-grade refractory materials.
b.refractoriness under load
Because there is so much AleO3 in the high aluminum products, there is little miscellaneous quality, and forming a fusible vitreous less, so the refractoriness under load is higher than clay brick, but not because of mullite crystal form reticular tissue, so the silica refractoriness under load is still not high.
C. slag resistance
There is so much Al2O3 in high alumina brick, close to neutral refractory, slag resistance to acid and alkaline slag erosion, it’s due to containing SiO2, so the ability of resistance to basic slag than weak ability to resist acid slag.


Usage
The high alumina bricks is mainly used in lining of blast furnace, the hot blast stove, electric furnace roof, furnace and reverberatory furnace, rotary kiln lining. In addition, high alumina brick is widely used for open hearth regenerative checker brick, pouring system with the plug head, nozzle brick, etc.
