Characteristics and advantages of low cement castable material

Low cement refractory castable is a kind of calcium aluminate bonded refractory castable which its CaO content is less than 2.5%. Compared with traditional refractory castable, in the base material of low cement castable, it use super fine power with cohesive interaction to replace of part or most of calcium aluminate cement. So the low cement castable have charactors as below:

1.It has lower CaO content, improving refractoriness, high temperature crushing strength and slag resistance.
2.When construction,the mix water consumption of low cement castable is just 1/3~1/2 of common castable. So it has lower apparent porosity and high bulk density.
3.After pouring molding,it produced less cement compound.With the raising og hot treatment, strength is higher.
4.Low cement castable can be made into self flow pouring material and pump pouring material if the composition of grain size is adjusted.
