Magnesium refractory are removed from the prohibited commodities in processing trade

A few days ago, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs issued an announcement on adjusting the catalogue of prohibited commodities in processing trade. According to the announcement, 199 10-digit commodity codes were eliminated from the catalogue of prohibited commodities in processing trade published by the General Administration of Customs of the Ministry of Commerce in 2014, which are in line with the national industrial policy and do not belong to the products with high energy consumption and high pollution and products with high technical content. At the same time, adjust the prohibition methods of some commodities. The adjusted catalogue of prohibited commodities in processing trade is still in accordance with the relevant provisions of Announcement No.90 of the General Administration of Customs of the Ministry of Commerce in 2014. The announcement will be implemented as of December 1, 2020.

Some magnesia refractory raw materials are removed from the catalogue of prohibited commodities in processing trade, as shown in Table 1, which shows that these magnesia refractory raw materials are no longer recognized as products with high energy consumption and high pollution. In addition, the waste magnesia brick (commodity code 530909910) has been adjusted from export prohibition to import prohibition (see Table 2).
