General requirements for ladle use and types of refractory materials used

When the ladle is in use, the temperature of the steel shell should not be too high to prevent deformation of the steel shell and ensure the safety of people and equipment working around the ladle. Generally, it is required to be less than or equal to 300°C. The use conditions of the ladle are harsh: the tapping temperature is high (>1700℃), and the number of steel receiving times per day is low (only 5ch), so that the block has to withstand the scouring lake of high temperature steel flow, but also the possibility of rapid cold and heat. Caused by cracks and peeling. Ladle usage conditions Out-of-furnace refining, as an intermediate link in the production of electric furnace converter die casting (continuous casting), plays a role in increasing output, ensuring quality, purifying molten steel and adjusting ingredients. Therefore, in the production of die casting (continuous casting), to provide molten steel with qualified chemical composition, gas content and inclusions, it must be refined outside the furnace. There are four types of refining outside the furnace: VHD, VOD, LF, VD. There are four types of refining outside the furnace: VHD, VOD, LF, VD. At present, the refining ladle village outside the furnace mainly uses magnesia carbon bricks. In recent years, due to the need for smelting low-carbon steel, ultra-low-carbon steel and improving the life of the ladle, a carbon-free ladle village has been developed, which greatly increases the life of the refined ladle outside the furnace. At the same time, the non-carbonization and alkalization of ladle lining is also a new requirement for the treatment of clean steel, and is the development direction of refractory materials for ladle lining. Carbon-free materials include integral castables (mainly corundum-spinel, corundum-magnesia-based castables), cast prefabricated blocks, and carbon-free press-formed bricks (aluminum-magnesium or aluminum-spinel). The longitudinal section of the ladle lining refractories material used: MgO-C brick refractory material is used for the clearance, slag line, and nozzle parts, and A1203-MgO is used for the wall, the bottom of the ladle, and the steel flow impact block in the molten steel bath. In addition, the anti-steel flow impact block is set in the center of the package bottom.
